… about our fair & environmentally friendly clothing made from wood

What makes a WoodShirt so special?

Even though "clothes made of wood" may sound funny and scratchy at first, our WoodShirts, Tank Tops, Longsleeves and Sweaters are actually made of a very cool and above all super soft fabric. In addition to ecological advantages, this fabric also offers unique properties and optimum wearing comfort. In short, clothing made of wood is fashion with a feel-good factor. We'll explain to you here what these unique properties are and why a T-shirt, tank top, longsleeve, pullover or zip hoodie made of wood wears so well.

Can you say that WoodShirts are also vegan T-shirts?

Definitely yes! Our clothes are made of vegan wood. We make sure that no animal ingredients are used in the manufacturing process. Thus the entire production chain, from the yarn to the fabric to the finished garment, is vegan. It is very important to us to produce our sustainable clothing in a fair way. This does not only mean fair production conditions in the EU, but also fairness towards nature and the animal world. We therefore decided not only to produce environmentally friendly clothing, but also vegan clothing. If you want to know more, read on here.

"Fair T-shirts," what does that exactly mean?

For us it is very important to produce our WoodShirts, Longsleeves and Hoodies fairly. This is one of the three main elements of wijld, along with the use of environmentally friendly materials and local production. This means that all employees involved are fairly paid and that there are good working conditions at the production site. That is why we manufacture our wooden clothing fairly in Portugal. Manufacturing within the EU was important to us because it made it easier for us to ensure that the conditions for employees were fair. The distance is also shorter, which of course not only means shorter transport distances and thus lower emissions, but makes it easier for us to get a better picture of the situation on site ourselves. WoodShirts are sustainable T-shirts made of wood. What makes them so sustainable?
For our sustainable T-shirts, we use wood, a local raw material. In this way we reduce transport distances and also save a lot of water and chemicals at the same time, as trees, unlike cotton for example, do not require artificial irrigation, fertilisers or pesticides. Our sustainable wooden T-shirts save around 1,000 litres of water, 150 ml of toxic chemicals and 600 g of CO² compared to a conventional cotton T-shirt! In addition, the wood we use comes exclusively from certified sustainable forestry. This means that new trees are planted immediately for every tree that is processed. What are the advantages of organic T-shirts?

Organic clothing is, in simple terms, environmentally friendly clothing that has been designed throughout the manufacturing chain to avoid the use of environmentally harmful substances. This does not pollute the groundwater, protects the health of the employees during production and of course you benefit from it in the end. By wearing organic clothing made of wood, you prevent harmful substances from being released into your skin through your T-shirt, tank top, longsleeve or sweater. That's why even allergy sufferers can wear our environmentally friendly clothing, which is even antibacterial thanks to the ecological manufacturing process and the special properties of the wood fabric. What is the best way to care for wooden clothing?

You can wash our shirts, tank tops, longsleeves and sweaters as normal. We only recommend (especially with print shirts) to wash them inside out at a maximum of 30 °C. Also, you should only iron them inside out at medium heat and without steam. In general we recommend not tumble drying and fabric softener is not necessary. Our shirts are naturally very soft, smooth and dry much faster than cotton. Care instructions are included with every order!

How is wijld clothes cut from wood? Is there a size chart?

We have invested a lot of time in our cuts in order to have the perfect cut for every figure. Therefore we have 3 different cuts for women and 2 different cuts for men, which should fit perfectly for most body types. The Loose Regular Fit is a bit "boxier", where the Relaxed Slim Fit is cut closer to the body.
You can find our measurement charts for our fits online at the bottom of all article pages. We recommend that you compare the measurements (always measured simply) with one of your current favourite shirts/ pullovers. This should give you a good idea of which size is best for you!

Can I choose another colour from the wijld collection than the one shown online?

No, we only have shirts from our wijld collection in the colour that is shown online and in the cut that is indicated. The reason is we already have the shirts printed and in stock. This is different with the Artist collection - here you can put together your desired shirt as these shirts are printed only on order.

Can I also put together different colours or sizes for the discounted double packs?

Unfortunately not. Our doubles always contain two shirts in the same fit, in the same colour and the same size. A combination of different colors or fits is unfortunately not possible at this moment. You can of course order the shirts separately!

Can I buy gift vouchers from wijld?

Yes, we do have beautifully designed gift cards. For technical reasons they are not yet available online. Simply send us an e-mail with the desired value as well as the invoice and delivery address. You will then receive an invoice and after receipt of payment a voucher by mail.

… about your order

How does the ordering process of my online order work?

Click on the desired product, make your selection e.g. for colour or size and put it into your shopping cart by clicking on the button "Add to shopping cart".
You will then receive confirmation that the item is in your shopping cart. Here you can choose whether you want to add more items to your shopping cart ("Continue Shopping") or whether you want to be taken directly to your shopping cart ("Continue to Shopping Cart"). The number of items in your shopping cart is also displayed in the upper right hand corner. In the shopping cart itself you can adjust the quantity of articles or remove articles.
On the shopping cart page you also have the possibility to redeem vouchers. To do this, enter your code under "Discount codes" in the field provided and click on "Redeem code". A new total amount of your shopping cart will then be displayed. Check all the details again and when correct, click on "Go to checkout" to proceed with your order.
You now have the possibility to create a customer account, to order as a guest without registration or, if you already have a customer account, the option to log in. To do this, you log in with your e-mail address and password and can order again without having to enter your data again.

If you order as a guest, you simply have to enter your contact details in the checkout and fill in all fields marked with a *. Here you can also enter a different delivery address and choose a payment method. After you have agreed to the privacy policy, the terms and conditions and the right of withdrawal, click on "Order now for a fee" to submit your order.

If you are already a registered customer, all you have to do now is log in to your account and you will be taken directly to the checkout, where your details have already been entered. All that remains is to select a payment method and agree to the privacy policy, terms and conditions and the right of withdrawal. Click on "Order now for a fee" and your order will be sent.
An order confirmation will be sent to you shortly via e-mail. A shipping confirmation will be sent to you by e-mail as soon as your order has been completed by us and sent for shipping.
Please also check your spam folder. Sometimes our e-mails end up there, too.

Can I also order by phone?

We are also happy to accept your order by telephone. However, we can only accept payment in advance for telephone orders, as all other payment methods in our online shop require an e-mail address.

Can I cancel my order?

As long as we have not yet started the production of your order and it is not yet in shipping, you are welcome to cancel. Write us an e-mail at hello@wijld.com or call us at +49 (0)202 / 94 69 0051 and we will check the status of your order and if we can still cancel it.

Can I change my order?

Unfortunately, due to our automated warehouse and shipping system, we do not have access to your order to change or cancel individual items. However, we are happy to cancel your order so that you can re-order again. Provided we have not yet started production or it is not yet in shipping.

… about the payment

How does payment work in the wijld.com shop?

At wijld.com we work with a secure SSL connection and offer various payment options. You can pay your order by prepayment, PayPal, direct debit, credit card or invoice. There are no extra charges for any of these payment methods (€0)!

If you choose to pay by invoice:

The payment method on invoice is handled by our partner BillPay. Billpay is an online payment provider that accepts and processes your payment on our behalf.
When paying by invoice, you have approximately one month after your order has been shipped to pay the invoice amount to the specified BillPay account. You will receive the invoice together with your shipping notification by email, which will also include your individual payment deadline.
Note: If you miss this deadline, BillPay will send you a payment reminder by email. After the third reminder you will receive a reminder by e-mail. Please always react immediately, as we unfortunately have no influence on reminder fees or other consequences. In the case of payment on account, BillPay is the legal payment recipient, as they process the payment completely independently on our behalf. If you do not agree, please choose a different payment method.

If you choose to pay in advance:

When paying in advance, your order goes into production and will be processed as soon as your invoice amount has been credited to our account at GLS Bank (see below for details). Please indicate your first and last name as well as your order number in the field "purpose of transfer".

It may take a few days for us to receive a bank transfer. Domestically it can take up to 3 days and for a bank transfer from abroad it can take longer than 3 days.
Your order will be processed on the day of receipt of payment. If you are in a hurry with your order, we recommend choosing one of the other available payment methods.

If you choose to pay via PayPal, direct debit or credit card:

PayPal is an online payment service that allows you to pay securely and receive your order quickly. To pay directly with PayPal, you need a PayPal account. During the checkout process you can log into your PayPal account and pay for your order directly.
Important: Payment by direct debit and credit card are also processed via PayPal, but no PayPal account is needed!

… about the delivery

How long does it take for my order to be shipped?

Since we manufacture most products individually for you, it is difficult to answer this question as a whole. The respective delivery times can be found on each article page.

Attention: Please note that it is possible to pre-order items that are not yet in stock. In addition, shirts from the Artist Collection are only printed on order, meaning delivery time (depending on the capacity of the print shop) can be 10 to 15 working days.

Important: If you order several articles at the same time, we will normally send you all articles in one package and thus the longest delivery time of your selected products applies to all ordered articles. If you would like to receive immediately deliverable items earlier than pre-ordered, please place separate orders!

What are the shipping costs?

For shipping, packaging and handling, we charge a flat rate of 5.90 euros for each delivery. There are no postage costs for orders over 79 Euro.
For the dispatch to Belgium, Denmark, France, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Austria, Poland as well as to the Netherlands and the Czech Republic wijld postage costs in the amount of 9.90 euros computes. There are no postage costs for orders over 150 euros.
For the dispatch to Andorra, Albania, Bulgaria, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Norway, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Sweden, Switzerland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Hungary and Cyprus wijld calculates postage costs at a value of 12.90 euros. There are no postage costs for orders over 150 euros.

Which delivery service do you use?

We use the DHL GoGreen service as standard, as the items can be shipped climate-neutrally. Within Germany this usually takes 1 to 3 working days. 

How long does the delivery take?

The delivery time depends on three things:
1. the type of article ordered,
2. your chosen payment method
3. destination country.

- The type of article ordered determines the delivery time, as some of our articles are "on demand" and will only be produced especially for you after receipt of your order. Since different products also have different production times, the delivery time also varies accordingly. The actual delivery time per article can always be found on the respective article detail page. If you order different products with different delivery times, the longest indicated delivery time applies to all ordered articles, as the products are shipped to you collectively.
- Orders that are paid via PayPal, direct debit, credit card or invoice will be processed directly by us as soon as possible. If you pay in advance, we can only process your order once the payment has been received on our account. This can take up to 3 days within Germany and longer from abroad.
- Depending on whether you live in Germany, France or Cyprus, our delivery service may take a few days longer to arrive depending on the distance.

Can I split my order on delivery?

We usually ship all items bundled in one package - especially for the sake of the environment. If you would like to receive immediately deliverable items earlier than those with longer delivery times, you are of course welcome to place separate orders.

Can I have my order delivered to my Packstation?

Within Germany it is also possible to send your order to Packstations. The shipment must have a minimum size of 15 x 11 x 1 cm and not exceed 60 x 35 x 35 cm.
We will inform you in the checkout if a product is too large to be shipped to a Packstation.
For dispatch to your Packstation, simply enter the number of your Packstation and your personal postal number in the field "Street and house number" in the two lines of the delivery address in the order process by clicking on "Send to other address".

How do you package the goods?

All components used in our packaging are green! Beside the cardboard packaging we use packing tape, which is made of paper and sticks very well thanks to rubber. Even our stickers and delivery note bags are plastic-free and environmentally friendly.
Even though we take special care that every article is carefully packed, damage can unfortunately happen during shipping. If it does, please contact our support team immediately for assistance.

… about your user account

What are the benefits of registering and how does it work?

When you create a user account, you have the advantage
- that the payment process is faster with the next purchase due to saved settings
- that you can check the status of current orders at any time
- that you can view the order history
- that you can create and send yourself a wish list
- that you can save different addresses for sending to family members and friends easy
- and and and ...

Of course, this is completely free and fast: Go with your mouse in the upper right hand corner on "User account" and click in the drop-down menu on "Login". As a new customer you can now enter your personal information and login data via the button "Create user account". If the registration was successful, you will now receive an email from us confirming this. From now on you can let off steam in your user account and store and manage all your important information. Of course we handle your data extremely carefully and treat everything confidentially! If you would like more details, please read our privacy policy for more information.

It happened: I forgot my password. How do I get back to my account now?
If you have forgotten your password, simply click on "Forgot your password?" in the login mask for your user account. Immediately you will receive an email with a link through which you can reset your password and set a new one in the next steps.

And how can I delete my user account again?

In principle we do not like to do this for you ... ;-)
... but it's best if you write us an e-mail or give us a call. After you have informed us about it, we will take care of it directly and your user account will be deleted in no time.

Why do I suddenly no longer find a certain design?

We would like to offer you variety without a huge mass selection of designs which can be overtaxing. We always provide you with a carefully selected range of designs, which change at regular intervals. For new motifs and designs, older ones have to give way. It is therefore possible that a favourite design of yours may no longer be available in the shop. If you want to find out when your design will be available again, please send us a mail or give us a call.

Can I have my own design printed by you?

We can handle individual print requests from you with a minimum quantity of 30 pieces. If you are interested, we will gladly send you our price list - however, we do not print single shirts.

I am also an artist and would like to work with you. What do I have to do and how does it all work?

How can you stay up-to-date?

There are several possibilities: Subscribe to our newsletter and we will send you the most important information and news about wijld, which you can enjoy with a cup of coffee or tea at your leisure. Do you have a shop where I can personally drop by?

Unfortunately we do not have a retail shop and therefore all articles are only available online. Our online shop is open 24 hours a day.

I have a complaint to make. What is the best way to do this?

We are always happy to help you! If you have a complaint, please contact us directly by e-mail at hello@wijld.com or call our service line +49 (0)202 946 900 51. Please have - if available - your invoice number or order number ready.

My order arrived incomplete. Why?

If for any reason an incomplete order is shipped you will be notified of this. We do nothing without contacting you beforehand and informing you. If you received an incomplete order without being informed of this, please contact us directly for assistance.

My order arrived damaged. What now?

Oh dear... We are very, very sorry if your ordered articles are damaged! Please contact us immediately, preferably by e-mail with a short description and photos of the damage in the attachment. We would also need a photo of the cardboard packaging. In this way we can get a better impression of the problem and prevent such damage in the future. But be sure: we will do everything in our power to find a solution and make you happy again!

What are the rules with regards to exchanges and cancellation of orders?

If you do not like or the ordered items do not fit, you can return them to us within 14 days after receipt of the order. Returning the order is very easy: Use our DHL service and generate your own return label. The return shipment is accordingly free of charge for you. You can get more information and the corresponding documents here .

IMPORTANT: Please send the articles back to us in their original packaging, unworn and unwashed and make sure that the articles show no sign of use! Please also note that products from the Artist Collection that have been individually made for you and are excluded from the right of return.

As soon as the product arrives and has been checked, we will send you the corresponding credit note. We will refund the amount within 14 days.
