Let’s be honest: for us men, there are hardly any items of clothing more important than a pair of sweatpants. Whether for sports, at home, on the couch, during a Sunday stroll, or wherever your joggers happen to take you, sweatpants are now appropriate and perfectly suited to everyday life in almost any situation.

Why ours is the cherry on top:

Our sustainable sweatpants are made from 1.5 kilograms of wood and some organic cotton. Combining these two materials creates an exceptionally soft fabric that also has some unique properties. The heavyweight sweatshirt fabric is breathable and has antibacterial and temperature-regulating effects. This is thanks to the special wood-based fibers, which can absorb and release moisture very quickly.

Minimalist, sustainable, great—wood-based sweatpants

wijld’s goal is to create simple, sustainable clothing that focuses on the essentials and does without unnecessary embellishments. The clothing is minimalist, made from natural materials, and available in neutral colors. The cuts are simple and straight, without many patterns or embellishments, making them suitable for every style.

Why are our wood-based sweatpants so environmentally friendly?

The wood used for our men’s sweatpants comes from sustainable forestry.

This raw material is not only available locally but also environmentally friendly, as it avoids long transport routes. Cellulose is extracted from the wood and then processed into Lyocell fibers using an organic solvent; these fibers are later spun into yarn. Compared with cotton, this process reduces CO2 emissions by around 75%, from the field or forest all the way through to fiber production.

Our sweatpants also help save a great deal of water. Compared with conventional cotton sweatpants, a single pair of wood-based sweatpants saves around 4,000 liters of water.
