It is important to us to make the production of our vegan clothing as environmentally and animal-friendly as possible. This is also one of the reasons why we chose wood as a raw material. This makes our clothing very environmentally friendly, as this raw material also grows in our latitudes and thus shortens transport routes enormously. In addition, water consumption is greatly reduced and harmful chemicals in the form of fertilizers or pesticides can be completely avoided. From 2015 to 2021, we planted a tree in Mexico together with a partner organization for every order on wijld.com.

Since 2022, we have set up our own small reforestation project and are reforesting a piece of forest in the Sauerland that was destroyed by climate change. This not only allows us to get involved locally, but also makes the topic of forests much easier to experience and plant trees on site together with customers or school classes. In addition, we can better document how our forest is developing and show how important it is to treat nature consciously.
