It is important to us to make the production of our vegan clothing as environmentally and animal-friendly as possible. This is also one of the reasons why we chose wood as a raw material. This makes our clothing very environmentally friendly, as this raw material also grows in our regions, thereby significantly shortening transport distances. In addition, water consumption is greatly reduced, and harmful chemicals in the form of fertilizers or pesticides can be avoided entirely. From 2015 to 2021, together with a partner organization, we planted one tree in Mexico for every order placed on wijld.com.

Since 2022, we have established our own small reforestation project and are restoring a section of forest in the Sauerland that was destroyed by climate change. This allows us not only to get involved locally, but also to make the subject of forests much more tangible and plant trees on site together with customers or school classes. We can also document more effectively how our forest is developing and show how important it is to treat nature responsibly.
