We are committed to making the production of our vegan clothing as environmentally and animal-friendly as possible. This is also one of the reasons why we chose wood as a raw material. This makes our clothing very eco-friendly, as this raw material also grows in our region, significantly reducing transport distances. Additionally, water consumption is greatly reduced, and harmful chemicals such as fertilizers or pesticides are completely avoided. From 2015 to 2021, we planted a tree in Mexico for every order placed on wijld.com together with a partner organization.

Since 2022, we have launched our own small reforestation project and are restoring a forest area in Sauerland that was destroyed by climate change. This way, we can not only get involved locally but also make the topic of forests much more tangible and plant trees on-site together with customers or school classes. Additionally, we can better document how our forest develops and show how important conscious interaction with nature is.
