It is important to us to make the production of our vegan clothing as environmentally and animal-friendly as possible. This is also one of the reasons we chose wood as a raw material. It makes our clothing particularly environmentally friendly, as this raw material also grows in our region, which significantly shortens transport routes. In addition, water consumption is greatly reduced, and harmful chemicals in the form of fertilizers or pesticides can be completely avoided. From 2015 to 2021, we planted one tree in Mexico with a partner organization for every order placed on wijld.com.

Since 2022, we have established our own small reforestation project and have been restoring a section of forest in the Sauerland that was destroyed by climate change. This allows us not only to get involved locally, but also to make the subject of forests much more tangible and plant trees on-site together with customers and school classes. We can also document the development of our forest more effectively and show how important it is to treat nature responsibly.
