Our wooden long-sleeved shirts for men are fairly manufactured in Portugal. Not only do we use wood, a raw material that is also native to our climate zone. With our production site north of Porto, we have also chosen one of the few places in Europe where textiles are still manufactured and where innovative projects can be driven forward. Three advantages of a sustainable long-sleeved shirt for men made of lyocell
Firstly: By processing Lyocell, a cellulose-based fibre, we can manufacture our long-sleeved shirts in a much more resource-efficient way. This means that our men's long-sleeved shirt saves over 1000 litres of water compared to a conventional long-sleeved shirt made of cotton. At the same time, CO2 emissions are also significantly lower. In addition, no toxic chemicals in the form of fertilizers or pesticides are used in forestry. Secondly, clothing made of wood has natural breathable properties and absorbs moisture from the skin. This makes our long-sleeved shirt for men comfortable to wear on the skin and keeps the wearer dry. Contrary to what you might expect, the fabric feels pleasantly soft, which is due to the smooth Lyocell fibre. Fabric made of wood also has antibacterial properties by nature, i.e. without any chemical treatments. This means that the fabric is odour-inhibiting and the shirts simply stay fresher for longer.
